C\u00f3mo funciona la SLM: proceso de fusi\u00f3n capa por capa<\/h2>\n<p>La tecnolog\u00eda SLM fabrica piezas en el interior de una c\u00e1mara sellada llena de gas inerte mediante un ciclo repetitivo de tres pasos:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Esparcimiento de polvo:<\/strong> Se extiende uniformemente sobre la placa de impresi\u00f3n una fina capa de polvo met\u00e1lico atomizado por gas (de 20 a 50 \u03bcm de espesor).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fusi\u00f3n por l\u00e1ser:<\/strong> Un l\u00e1ser de fibra de alta potencia funde selectivamente el polvo siguiendo la secci\u00f3n transversal del modelo 3D.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Apilamiento de capas:<\/strong> La plataforma desciende ligeramente y se aplica una nueva capa de polvo. El proceso se repite hasta que la pieza queda terminada.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>La atm\u00f3sfera inerte (arg\u00f3n o nitr\u00f3geno) evita la oxidaci\u00f3n, lo que da como resultado una densidad de la pieza superior al 99,51 TP3T, igual o superior a la de los metales forjados y fundidos. Impresi\u00f3n 3D SLM frente al mecanizado CNC: c\u00f3mo elegir<\/h2>\n<h3>3.1 Coste y volumen de producci\u00f3n<\/h3>\n<p>El mecanizado CNC resulta m\u00e1s rentable para piezas sencillas fabricadas en grandes series.
